Founded in 2007 and inspired by the spirit of the former St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Parish on Alden Street in Syracuse, the Alden Street Foundation (ASF) carries forward a legacy of faith in action. The Foundation is a community-based organization dedicated to extending hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most.
St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, established in 1964, became known as a vibrant and forward-thinking community that tithed its resources to support peace, justice, and service initiatives throughout Central New York. When the parish closed in 2009, a group of parishioners—committed to continuing its mission and spirit—formed a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. From that commitment, the Alden Street Foundation was born.
